ASSOCIATION SOLIDARITY SOCIAL (ASS) CHILD PROTECTION OUTREACH PROJECT

On the Ground in Northern Morocco: Reaching Vulnerable and Unaccompanied Children Through Community-Based Protection Outreach

Field Outreach Mission — 4 June 2026

Northern Morocco | Kingdom of Morocco

Introduction

The Association Solidarity Social (ASS) is strengthening its commitment to community-based humanitarian action and child protection across the Kingdom of Morocco through a proactive outreach approach designed to identify vulnerable people who may remain beyond the reach of conventional social and humanitarian services.

As part of this commitment, ASS conducted a Child Protection Outreach Field Mission on 4 June 2026 in a remote forested area of Northern Morocco.

The outreach mission was led by Mr. Ricky Charles, Founder, Chief Visionary, and Fiduciary Constitutional Leader of the Association Solidarity Social (ASS).

The mission brought together the Association's commitment to field presence, humanitarian observation, community engagement, child protection, responsible referral, and advocacy for vulnerable people.

During the mission, the ASS team encountered an informal settlement where several unaccompanied and separated migrant children, including girls, were reportedly living in highly vulnerable circumstances.

The conditions described and observed during the visit raised serious concerns regarding access to basic necessities, safety, protection, healthcare, education, accommodation, and appropriate support services.

For ASS, the mission reinforced a fundamental principle:

Vulnerability must be identified wherever it exists, including in locations where people may have limited access to formal services and protection mechanisms.
